Tank Washer
Position: Tank Washer
Reports To: Manufacturing Manager
Job Summary
Cleans washes tanks, parts, equipment and fixtures to level B finish. Completes gross visual assessment of the product and reports any defects to the final inspector.
Essential Job Functions
- Set up, operate maintain and adjust wash equipment.
- Determine the correct concentration level for the chemical wash mix.
- Position and maneuver products, parts, and equipment manually.
- Position ladder and stepping stool to get in and out of products on the wash line.
- Follow correct procedures for wash processes.
- Verify that a quality wash process has occurred.
- Provide non-conformance information to final inspector.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment, i.e. check fluid level of cleaner.
Minimum Qualifications Required
In addition to the ability to perform the essential functions and physical requirements of this job, the following minimum qualifications are required:
- Within orientation period, learn the wash operation.
- Reading Skills: Demonstrate the basic ability to read, understand directions and description sheets for products.
- Communication Skills:
Written: Demonstrate the ability to complete a Labor Time Sheet.
Verbal: Demonstrate ability to clearly communicate with all wash operators, final inspectors, and other production employees.
- Math Skills: Demonstrate the ability to take inventory of products used on the wash process.
- Measurement Skills: Demonstrate the ability to measure volumes to determine the concentration of the wash chemical mixes.
Work Relationships
- Report directly to the Manurfacturing Manager.
- Communicate and cooperate with other Tank Washers.
- Communicate and cooperate with fnal inspector and personnel in the manufacturing plant.
