Hoover tanks are made of either 304 stainless steel, carbon steel, galvanized steel, or polyethylene. The majority of Hoover’s steel valve options are made of 316 stainless steel.  Hoover’s stainless steel IBCs are constructed from durable, 304 stainless steel. Hoover uses carbon steel to construct an IBC that is a lighter and less expensive alternative to our stainless steel IBC.  Galvanized steel is used for Hoover containers and container frames that are utilized in very harsh and corrosive environments (typically offshore).  Hoover’s roto-moulded containers such as the Polycone 45 and the APR® are constructed of lightweight and durable polyethylene.
