Hoover utilizes Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) in the construction of its roto-moulded containers.
Linear Low Density Polyethylene is the most commonly used thermoplastic polymer. LLDPE is an extremely corrosion resistant, low density material. It is used in applications where corrosion resistance is an important factor. LLDPE is often used for chemical and agricultural containers and it meets the FDA requirements for food and beverage containers. LLDPE is also suitable for containers that are used in wet environment applications as LLDPE has a high resistance to moisture even withstanding long-term exposure to saltwater.
