MATERIALS
Stainless Steel
Stainless steel is most popular form of steel. Stainless steel is compatible with a wide variety of products and materials which include chemicals, petroleum, hazardous materials, and food products. Stainless steel is extremely durable withstanding harsh environments and is less susceptible to rust than carbon steel. Hoover uses both Grade 304 and Grade 316 stainless steel.
Grade 304 stainless steel is the most versatile and most widely used stainless steel alloy; available in a wide range of products, forms, and finishes
Grade 316 stainless steel is the second most commonly used grade of stainless steel (after Grade 304). It is more resistant to general corrosion than Grade 304 due to the addition of molybdenum.
