By combining a rotationally molded polyethylene bottle inside a steel, heavy-duty wire mesh cage, the Tuff Tank II™ remains one of the industry's most rugged and long-lasting IBCs. The frame is designed to be safely hoisted using the lifting lugs and can be used in conjunction with cable slings. The Tuff Tank II™ can transport your shipments of hazardous and corrosive liquids, chemicals, petrochemicals, and food liquids with complete confidence and environmental safety.
UN and DOT Qualifications
The Tuff Tank II™ is a UN31HA1 composite IBC. The Tuff Tank II™ is approved for shipment of hazardous materials as authorized in 49 CFR 172.101, Table of Hazardous Materials and Special Provisions. The Tuff Tank II™ is built in accordance with IMO section 26 and can be used per Appendix 1 to section 26. NMFC Item 41024, Sub 3, Class 125.

- Powder Coating: Adds long-term protection to the tank. For additional protection, an inorganic zinc primer option is available
- One-piece, protective poly pillow (across entire bottom between frame and bottle): Supports the bottle to achieve complete drainage, and protects/cushions bottle.
- Virtually full drainage: Provided by Hoover's patented discharge.
- Polypropylene ball valve bottom discharge w/ patented quick disconnect: Allows for easy cleaning, easy coupling, and handy interchangeability of valve sizes for various applications.
- Reinforced steel bottom: Provides added safety when handling.
- Heavy-duty 2" interlocked leg cap w/ fork pockets: Provides easy handling with forks and on conveyors.
- Rotationally molded LDPE bottle w/ large radius corners: Allows for easy cleaning, extra strength, and corrosion and stress-crack resistance.
- Heavy-gauge 2" by 2", wire-mesh sides w/rod reinforcement: Gives extra strength, heavy-duty outer cage supports and protects inner bottle.
- Raised boss (not drilled): Allows for top discharge options.
- Second raised boss (not drilled): Provides optional pressure-vacuum vent.
- 6" fill cap standard with two 2" plugs: Permits easy handling for filling & dispensing. Optional pressure vent available.
- Gallon/liter decal front and back: Easy to read.
- One-piece "J" channel decal plate: Provides more room for placards.
- Stainless steel UN tag: States that the tank meets worldwide UN regulations
- Stackable: The Tuff Tank II can be stacked two high at maximum gross weight

- Optional fluorinated poly bottle – Prevents permeation by certain chemicals
- Optional locking door (not shown) – Provides security against vandalism
