Liquitote®
Liquitote®, the leading stainless steel IBC on the market, is the original intermediate bulk container (IBC) of the liquid handling industry. Hoover introduced this revolutionary concept over 50 years ago as an efficient and sensible alternative to the use of 55-gallon drums. More durable than standard 55-gallon drums, Liquitote® helps control risk to the environment. In fact, one 550-gallon Liquitote® replaces ten drums, thereby, minimizing the amount of handling required, which in turn, lowers the risk of liquid handling accidents.

Liquitote® is a cost-effective, sound capital investment which can be amortized over its long life. Liquitotes® are refillable and durable. Many of the first models made over 50 years ago are still in use today.
The Liquitote® meets the following UN and DOT Qualifications for intermediate bulk containers:
- DOT UN31A permits the shipment of flammable and combustible liquids authorized by Title 49 CFR.
- Allowable (per DOT) modes of transportation: motor vehicle, rail freight, cargo vessel, or air freight. NMFC Item 41032, Sub 1, Class 125.
- Liquitotes® are built to UN specification in an ISO 9001:2000 certified manufacturing plant.

- Stainless steel Liquitotes® are UN 31A Qualified on all sizes up to 550-gallon.
Lifting Lugs: Heavy-duty lifting lugs and leg positioners. Allow easy stacking and lifting.
22-5/16” Top Opening/Manway with Fill Port: Allows easy cleaning.
3" Metal or Poly Combination Filling Cap and Fusible Vent: Cover can remain sealed during filling.
22" EPDM Gasket, Zinc-plated Bolted Clamp Ring, Formed Neck: Ensures complete closure.
2" Top Fill Bung with EPDM Gasket: Optional accessories.
Patented One-Piece Sloped Bottom: Facilitates virtually complete drainage
Discharge Assembly: 2" bottom discharge assembly. Includes: 316 ss three-piece valve assembly, 316 ss locking handle ball valve and plastic valve plug.
Full-length Valve Guard: Has 3" x 7" cutout for ease in fitting connections.
Legs: 6 1/2" high, radius corner legs with caps. Designed to avoid catching on floor obstructions

Materials
Tank Construction: 10 gauge, 304 Stainless Steel with 2B finish
Discharge Assembly: 316 Stainless Steel.
The Liquitote® is also available in Carbon steel.
Applications
Hoover Liquitotes® are used to store and transport liquid materials. The majority of Hoover's stainless steel tanks are used as chemical storage tanks, however, other applications include: storage of lubricants, adhesives, and sealants, storage or transportation of hazardous liquids, storage of wine or other beverages, and storage of viscous food products like honey.
